For many moms-to-be, the first twelve weeks of pregnancy, otherwise known as the first trimester, are the toughest part of being pregnant. Morning sickness is half a day sickness for some. Twenty-four-hour-a-day sickness for some of the more unfortunate.

Nausea and vomiting while unpleasant are a relatively common side effect of early pregnancy. Roughly 75% of pregnant women will experience some form of vomiting or nausea in their first trimester. Nausea and vomiting that occurs in early pregnancy is often referred to as morning sickness.
