I've always had a fairly short (~3-3.5 weeks) cycle, but in the past few months I've been getting my period every 16-18 days. I've always had very light periods as well, typically just 2 days of moderate bleeding and no cramping or other discomfort. Is this something to be concerned about? I'm 21 years old and have never been on contraceptives.

Thanks for your reply doc but I am not seeing "the top of the uterus pushing the right side of my abdomen". As a matter of fact, only my upper belly/stomach keep growing "fatly", not like a pregnant belly, it seems like a regular fat/deformed belly while my lower belly stays very fit and hard (no bump what so ever) .

It can not be related to weight gaining because I am not even eating properly due to the extrem sickness.

I am now 15 weeks 2 days.

Sorry about this but I am very concerned.

I am 37 years old, mother of a 15 years old son.

I had a tummy tuck three years ago and today, at 14 weeks pregnant with my second baby, my belly has been growing very weird.

For the first three months the upper side of my stomach grew a lot, seems like all my guts/intestine/stomack were pushed up, making me very sick all the time, but the lower part of my belly stays flat.

Everywhere I read about pregnancy week 13/14 it says that my belly should be showing a little bump but it is not my case. Only the upper side of my stomach is growing deformedly and the lower part stays fit and hard.

I am concern that my muscle won't stretch enough to allow the baby to grow normal.

Please advise.

I have no concern about the normal growth of your baby after a “tummy tuck”. The uterus about 14 weeks will favor a right sided lie and you may just be seeing the top of the uterus (fundus) pushing the right side of your abdomen. Doc

Sexual dysfunction is a problem that can affect women of any age at any time and is also part of the Mid-Life Crisis. Women who are between the ages of 35 to 65 however are more likely to suffer from sexual dysfunction. It is at this time of life that women describe a pattern of sexual response that is perceived as a problem by the woman and/or her sexual partner.

If you are suffering from sexual dysfunction, the good news is there are many treatments that may prove beneficial. Many effective non-pharmacological interventions are available that may improve sexual dysfunction. In some women, medications may be tried if the nonpharmacologic interventions do not help achieve sexual satisfaction. Doc

Most of us have an inner child. Your inner child may surface multiple times during your mid-life crisis. You may feel impulsive and dissatisfied with the ordinary life. Not sure if you might be going through a mid life crisis? Ask yourself the following:

Are you bored with your life?

Do you find your job mundane and constantly seek new ways to find a thrill on the job?

Are you bored with your personal or family life?

Do you feel like you are constantly searching for something to fulfill you?

Do you feel burdened and unchallenged?

Do you feel discontent with portions of your life even though they once made you happy?

Do you often feel adventurous and the need to try something very different?

Do you feel confused about the direction your life is going?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, you may be experiencing a mid-life crisis. Now don’t panic. Just because you are having a mid-life crisis doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t love your family, you or even job for that matter. You may need however to invest some time in yourself and start looking out for new possibilities in your life. You also need a reminder to look at the positive aspects of life. Here are some steps you can take to overcome a midlife crisis without doing something crazy.
