Of particular benefit are the following:

  • Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts)
  • Green leafy vegetables.
  • Citrus fruits.
  • Vitamin C-rich fruits.

High intake of these foods

may also reduce the risk of

cancer, particularly lung and gastrointestinal cancer.
