What Are Safe Cold Medications During Pregnancy?
I was miserable the first time I caught a cold during pregnancy. While a cold is challenging to cope with on any ordinary day, it often seems twice as undermining when you are pregnant and battling fatigue and other side effects of pregnancy anyway. Women are more susceptible to colds during pregnancy because their immune system is lower during pregnancy.
With colds come many unpleasant side effects, including head congestion and sore throats. While your natural instinct may be to reach for the Nyquil for some quick relief, this is not a good or safe alternative during pregnancy.
You don’t have to suffer however, during pregnancy if you do catch a cold. There are choices available to pregnant mothers who develop colds during pregnancy. Read more

Is Running Safe During Pregnancy?
One of the best things you can do to improve your self-esteem and well being during pregnancy is enjoy some regular exercise. While I didn’t exercise much my first two pregnancies, I did exercise quite a bit during my last pregnancy. The result? I gained a lot less weight and felt much better throughout my pregnancy.
There are many exercises that are safe for most women during pregnancy. If you routinely jogged or ran before getting pregnant, chances are running during pregnancy for you is perfectly safe. I ran three miles a day up until I was about five months pregnant, when I felt too big to run anymore and decided to try stair climbing instead.
I am not however, a big runner. There are some women who routinely run marathons or 20 or miles weekly. They may find it perfectly comfortable to continue running throughout their pregnancy. Read more

No woman wants to go into labor prematurely. As an experienced mom I can tell you one of women’s greatest concerns during pregnancy is premature labor. Most women will carry their babies from 37 to 40 weeks. This gestation is considered “full term.†Women who deliver their babies before 37 weeks pregnant give birth to preterm babies.
Premature babies are more at risk than their full term peers for various complications. How well your baby does depends on how early he or she is born. Many pregnant women spend a lot of time worrying about preterm labor. While a serious labor complication, it is relatively uncommon. How Do I Go About Preparing The Baby Nursery During Pregnancy?
Expectant mothers have much to look forward to… the birth of their baby marks a momentous occasion that is unsurpassed by any other.
There is much to do to plan for baby however, prior to delivery. Most parents work on setting up their baby’s nursery in the months preceding delivery. The task of setting up your baby’s room may seem challenging. When broken down into steps however, preparing the baby’s nursery can be easy!
Step-by-Step Baby Prep During Pregnancy
There is nothing I look forward to more than setting up the baby’s nursery. There are several easy steps you can adopt when setting up your baby’s nursery.
-  Decide how you would like to decorate your baby’s nursery. Many parents decide on a specific theme. This is up to you. One way to come up with ideas is by brainstorming. Simply take out a pen and paper and start writing down ideas.
-  Decide on a crib for your baby’s nursery. Most parents find a crib with railers easily lowered are best for picking up and comforting baby in the middle of the night.
-  Buy a firm mattress for the crib that fits tightly. You shouldn’t be able to fit more than a finger’s width or two between the crib mattress and railing.
-  Decide whether you need a changing table. Most parents either buy a separate changing table or combine their baby’s dresser with a changing table.
-  Consider a night light for your nursery. Using the overhead may prove too bright at night, but you’ll need some kind of light source to find your baby.

Many women experience numbness, tingling and pain in their hands, fingers and wrists during pregnancy. Typically these symptoms don’t pop up until the late second or early third trimester. Usually these symptoms are a sign of developing carpal tunnel syndrome during pregnancy.
