Body Pillows are Not Just For Pregnancy
Have you ever seen a body pillow? It looks like a long sausage jam-packed full of fun filling. What is a body pillow? It is a luxury. Take it from a mother of three beautiful children. Even if I never had children I would invest in a body pillow today.
A body pillow like the Snoozer pillow isn't simply a pregnancy companion. Yes, it certainly helps make pregnancy more comfortable. It is ideal for supporting your growing belly during pregnancy. A body pillow is also a luxury you and your partner can enjoy however, after your baby is born.
How? A body pillow is something that allows anyone to recline in a semi-fetal position. It is the idea choice for anyone who suffers from chronic
back pain or neck pain. It also helps anyone who has difficulty getting comfortable at night.
I actually bought a body pillow before my first pregnancy. I found that having ten pillows in the bed simply wasn't enough to get comfortable at night. Sometimes a pillow would sneak out of position and fall to the floor. Other times I didn't find the pillows I was using supportive enough for my back, head and neck combined.
That is when I invested in a body pillow. Fortunately, I discovered the body pillow an ideal friend, not simply for every day use but also during my pregnancy.
During my pregnancy I found that a Snoozer
pregnancy pillow is also a fabulous
nursing pillow. I look back today in fact and wonder what I ever would have done without a body pillow.
My husband uses a body pillow even today. That makes us a multi-pillow home. Our children also enjoy our body pillows. They are fun to hang out on when watching TV or just lounging around.
Benefits of the Body Pillow During Pregnancy
We've talked a lot about the general benefits of a body pillow. Now let's talk about the body pillow during pregnancy. A body pillow is the ideal source of comfort during pregnancy. Long, sleepless nights are often relieved with a small investment in a comfortable pillow.
- Allows a woman to sleep in a semi-fetal position.
- Relieves pressure and aching associated with a growing belly.
- Allows a woman to comfortably lie on their side without the weight of their belly pressing against the bed.
- Helps provide support for the legs, neck and shoulders as well as back.
- Is an inexpensive way to help promote better sleep.
You may find as I did having a body pillow during pregnancy helps you relax more at night. This may be all you need to get a better night's sleep. I often found once my anxiety declined, my baby started relaxing and stopped kicking quite as much at night.
As an added bonus, most body pillows are filled with just the right amount of stuffing. That means you can lie comfortably without having to worry your pillow is too soft, too firm or too thin. Some women even find doubling up on body pillows a necessity during pregnancy!
Keep in mind a body pillow can also help support a side lying position during pregnancy, the number one sleeping position according to doctors. You won't have to worry about rolling over onto your back when using a premium body pillow. And, you may even find you don't miss sleeping on your stomach that much when you are snoozing along side a comfortable friend!
