One of the unusual pregnancy side effects many women notice around the time they reach 31 weeks pregnant is growth in their feet. Believe it or not, because of the shifting hormones of your body and the added weight associated with carrying a baby, many women find their feet grow a bit wider and longer during pregnancy.

Sometimes, this pregnancy symptom or pregnancy side effect remains even after you give birth. Take heart however, as this does not always happen and when it does, usually your foot will grow by only ½ size or thereabouts. If you find your feet swell frequently, try elevating them more often and avoid eating foods that contain too much sodium, as this contributes to excess water or fluid retention.

Have Fun Feeling Your Baby
Because your baby is almost fully formed by pregnancy week 30, you can often have fun trying to identify the bumps and lumps that stick out as your baby tries to move within your belly. In a few weeks time your baby will probably shift positions and lie with his or her head downward in preparation for labor and delivery.

You can have fun watching your belly shift into unusual shapes as your baby moves an arm or a leg as you are 30 weeks pregnant and beyond. While doctors can usually instantly tell what body part of your baby is presenting, you may have a harder time. Take the time however to notice any round lumps you may feel in your belly while 30 weeks pregnant and after. You may notice a long flat surface that usually represents your baby's back or a long leg. You may notice a tiny fist with small grooves forming a lump in your baby (or that may just be your baby's foot).

Typically a round lump that is larger in size suggests your baby's head or your baby's bottom is sticking out as your baby moves. On touching your baby your baby will likely respond by moving positions. Keep in mind sometimes as your baby grows larger during your third trimester sudden movements can be quite strong and sometimes a bit uncomfortable.
